Bleeding Control: Conforming Bandage, Latex Free, 75mm x 1.5m. Also known as a "Roller Bandage". Primarily used to apply pressure to hold pads and dressings in place over wounds to control bleeding.
Directions:
Support area to be bandaged. Keep bandage rolled with a few centimetres clearance during application.
Make one full turn around limb to secure start of bandage.
Make spiral turns, working upwards. Overlap approximately two-thirds in each turn.
On completion, overlap the previous turn and secure with pin, tape or tuck-under.
Check for proper circulation. Compress nail to white appearance and watch for returning pink tinge. A delay in returning to pink indicates the bandage is too tight.
