Course Code LIF002 - Emergency Response – Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Warden or Communications Officer
Nominal Duration 3 hours
Course objective For a person appointed as either a Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Warden or Communications Officer within the Emergency Control Organization to gain an understanding of their role and responsibilities in accordance with AS 3745

  • Coordination of communications(s) during emergencies.
  • Initiation of emergency notification and warnings.

  • Liaison with emergency services.
  • Coordination of evacuation management.
  • Coordination of post-evacuation management.
  • Decision making, command and control.
  • Human behavior in emergencies.

  • Written and oral examination
  • Practical assessment
Successful participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. (Valid for 6 months from date of training).
